A little after 20:00 hours this evening Station 7-5 was dispatched to a reported building fire. Captain 7-5-1 (Wilbur) arrived on scene with a working fire in the rear dock area. Crews from Engine 7-5-1 and Engine 6-9-1(East Hempfield) made a quick knock on the fire and held it to the place of orgin. Fire was put under control in about 20 minutes after dispatch. Crews from Engine 7-5-2 and Truck 7-5 assisted the engine crews with overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Other companies that provided mutual aid were Truck 2-6 (Manheim), Rescue 7-9-1 (Maytown), and Rescue 8-4-1 (Columbia). Crews cleared the scene at 21:27 |
